The kids and I went over to the local grocery store to pick up some food for dinner and breakfast. We settled on spaghetti, sauce, bread and butter for dinner, with cereal and yougert for breakfast. (Note: avoid taking two kids to a very small store at 5:00 in the evening when all the locals come by). We realized after filling our basket with milk, eggs, OJ, etc that we didn't bring our backpacks with us. Fortunately we managed to communicate that we needed to purchase some durable grocery bags and came home with our food.
What we discovered when we got back to the apartment was that we had only one small pot in the entire kitchen. We heated the sauce, then poured it in a bowl. Then cooked half the pasta and served Delaney and Adam, cooked the other half and David and I ate. Unfortunately we had no salt in the apartment and the pasta tasted pretty terrible. Bread was fine, and the cake from Marek was delicious! Hopefully we'll do a little better tomorrow after we get to the supermarket and purchase some kitchen goods! -Carolyn
