We have been told that the day after Easter is traditionally celebrated by pouring water on people. The symbolism behind this act is a bit uncertain - perhaps a ritual cleaning in celebration of the resurection? Apparently the tradition in the city is a little more tame than in the countryside. In the city its mostly children who squirt other children with squirt guns. Both Delaney and Adam have heard about this tradition, so I"m wondering who is going to wake up who with a bucket of water?
Pouring water on people in easter comes from pagan slavic rituals before the Baptism of Poland. So it have nothing to do with ressurection of the christ itself. It was just adopted by the christians.
