Pool party

Delaney celebrated her 8th birthday with her classmates this weekend.  Ten kids joined us at the local pool to swim for an hour and then eat treats.  We have only attended two parties here, both at indoor playscapes, so we weren't sure what the 'norm' was for parties.  One parent told us that this was the first time there had ever been a swim party - cool.  They had a good time and I finally got a recording of the Sto Lat - happy birthday song. It was a bit of work to bring all the necessaries (eats and swim gear) to the pool ourselves, and carry all the presents and leftovers back home again without the use of a car.  I was especially glad that Adam joined us to help!
