Travel possibilities

I spent some time yesterday looking at train connections and travel times, as well as discount European airlines, to figure out where we might try to visit during our stay in Poland.  Results: Polish trains are pretty slow.  Warsaw is about 60 miles from Lublin, but takes 2 1/2 hrs by train.  Many different airlines fly in and out of Warsaw to all over Europe.  Discount airlines also fly out of Krakow (4-5 hrs by train) and Rzeszow (also about 4 hrs by train).  I poked around on the Polish train site further and found a handy printout of all of the stops on each train route.  Below is a partial printout from Lublin to Rzeszow.  There are 45 stops, most of which are about 3-5 minutes apart.  This is the *fastest* route!  Once we are on a Eurorail connection (mostly out of Warsaw), the connect times are not as bad (8 hrs to Budapest, Vienna, Berlin).  Since I love train travel, this is not a big deal, but good to know when planning trips...
