* A city with people in it - visible people who walk on the streets and make the city come alive.
* A city with lots of green space, parks, paths, and tall old trees.
* A climate where bugs do not come in your open windows even without screens; and where summer is mild enough that the windows stay open all summer.
* Cool large windows that open two ways (sideways and top to bottom).
* A good mass transit system.
* E. Wedel chocolate (cherry filled E. Wedel wins the top spot in my chocolate review, closely followed by Terravita mint).
* Huge variety of juices in the store (banana has been the kids' favorite!)
* Heated towel racks (in the winter)
* Although the Polish language has been hard to learn, I will miss the greeting "dzien dobry".
