Tour companions

We were part of an organized tour to Delphi and traveled by tour bus to the town in the mountains. The people you meet in tour groups are always fascinating.  Delaney was pleased to find a boy who was 10 on the trip and they quickly made friends.  He was from London, living in Geneva, with an Italian dad and German mom. He spoke English, German, Italian, and was learning French.  He was traveling with his Italian grandma and grandpa.  Across the aisle from us was an Australian couple with an iPad.  The man showed Delaney the  "bake cupcakes" game on the iPad and she was entertained for 30 minutes with mixing, and decorating her cupcakes.

We had lunch together at the end of the tour and I sat with several couples.  One was  an American couple from Idaho.  He was a retired nuclear safety engineer, so we chatted about the Japanese disaster a bit.  Another couple at the table were retired Sociologists from Australia.  The third couple was younger and was from Michigan.  They had done quite a bit of travel and we talked with them more after the lunch. It was fun to interact with people from so many different countries and backgrounds.  In addition to good company, the traditional Greek food was delicious!  We had salad, an egg soufle, vegetable lasagne, and roast chicken with potatoes and green beans.
