The buzzzz of summer

Nope.  Not referring to insects.  With our apartment windows open to let in the breeze, the ever present whine of gas-powered trimmers is in the air.  The shape/size of the green spaces around town makes the use of mowers pretty difficult, so crews of workmen with weedwhackers are out daily attacking the fast growing greenery in the neighborhood.
