Skansen

Our family visited the "Skansen" today.  It is like a Polish version of Cowtown in Wichita (Old West town), except that its a Polish country village.  It was not crowded at all and we got to wander around, pet animals, step inside each of the houses, and admire the flower gardens.

The goats liked eating clovers

 Inside the weaver's home
 A hay wagon
The inside of the thatched roofing, bundles of thatch tied to roof beams.
 A potter's home / shop
Windmill used to grind grain - some had a capacity of up to 200 kilos/hour with a good wind.

 Cobblers home/ shop

Even the smallest churches are quite ornate.
This one probably seated no more than 30 people

 Local shop / "sklep"
Manor house

 Postal wagon

  1. What adorable houses!

I have heard of the baby bassinet being attached to a beam by rope but never saw it before.

You can literally feel how people poured their hard work into everything around them.

    Looks like a wonderful time!
