Its a lot of work to haul trash!

Our apartment complex has two different trash collection areas - One for recycling and one for non-recyclables.  The non-recyclables are placed in large metal bins on wheels that are down a steep set of steps.  In order to empty then, two trashmen have to push and one has to pull the trash bin up a special ramp that is built into the steps. (These ramps are in every set of stairs and used for retail delivery too).

The recycleables are emptied by a mini crane that lifts the cages up so they can empty out the bottom into the collection bin at the back of the truck.
