Kozlowka Palace

We had a wonderful outing to a castle not far from Lublin today.  A family from the kids' school took us out (Thanks Pawel!)  The day was sunny and warm, and the castle and surrounding gardens were beautiful.  It reminded me a bit of a mini Versailles Palace.  The owners left the country during WWII and went to Canada,  then the communists seized the property after the war.  After the transition in 1989, the Zamoyski family petitioned for the return of the property.  The government bought the property from the family and they retained the right to live there for 2 months each year. (Their apartments are not in the former castle part, but are on the grounds).
