Architecture in Lublin

There is a wide mix of architectural styles in Lublin. The oldest and most handsome buildings are in the Stare Miasto (Old City).  (I'll include pictures of the old city soon.)  The tallest buildings are the apartment complexes that date back to the 1980s Soviet-style.  They are about 10 story concrete blocks with little aesthetic appeal.  They have been painted bright colors to try to give them a little more interest...you decide how successful the effort is...

Some of the newer apartments have a little more shape and interest, and the individual dwellings are generally attractive.

Everything will likely look more appealing in the spring when all the barren trees you can see get leaves on them!  Just imagine this walk near our apartment with green trees...
