Our landlord and neighbors

We really like our landlord (Adam) a lot.  His wife and daughter (age 7) live below us in the apartment complex.  He is an energetic talker who speaks some English.  He came up to check on us the other day to make sure things were ok and ended up spending over an hour in the apartment.  He brought up the blueprints of a house he is building in the countryside outside Lublin.  Its been under construction for 5 years but is within a year of being completed.  It is quite beautiful.  It was funny because he showed us every page of the blueprints - side shots, foundation plans, window and door sketches - the works!  He is also quite excited by technology (satellite TV, wireless router, etc.)

While trekking over campus to get my necessary stamps, I accidentally met the man living across the hall from us.  I had been told that he was a doctor, but we had not run into him at all.  While in the medical facility, he looked at my paperwork and noted my address, then went on to explain he lived across the hall from me.  He had some specific opinions about other residents, and notes  that there had been a lot of different American neighbors in our apartment.  He recalled three medical students who had lived on pizza (boxes stacked outside) and had lots of parties.  He said if we had a party, we had to invite him - haha.  Kind of a weird small world thing to meet him this way.
