Not Lake Cheney...but still nice!

David and I went on a mini adventure this week...taking one of the city buses "out into the countryside" to a local man-made lake  (Zemborzyckie).  It was a beautiful sunny day and great day to explore.  The bus ride was about an hour long, door to dock, because of considerable traffic in town.  There were some boathouses (still closed for the season), a few restaurants, some sandy beach-like wading areas, a pretty sizeable new playground, an extensive bike path that goes all the way around the lake, and some docks with small (2 person) sailboats moored to them.  There were a few bike riders and fishermen to keep us company, but other than that we had the place to ourselves.  I understand it gets very busy in the summer!  I'd really like to take the kids back out when we have time...

This is David standing on a very large tree stump across from the bus stop at the Marina...
A whole row of very old, large trees line the road along the lake.
