Packaging
The EU has laws in place regarding excessive packaging, and its very noticeable (and nice for the most part). Its funny the small differences you notice in how things are contained. Tomato sauce does not come in cans. Only bottles, or wax lined cardboard boxes. Eggs are not by the dozen. There are only 10 in a carton. Spices: all packages in paper envelopes, not bottles. (I had to purchase a number of small spice bottles to store my spices). We've looked and looked for powdered juice mix, or juice concentrate - not to be found anywhere (you'd think that these forms of juice would produce less waste than the cardboard containers for liquids).

Oh we do have juice concentrate. We usually refer to it as "syrop", not to be confused with cough syrup ;)
