Trip into the countryside!

We were so pleased to receive an invitation to take a day trip into the countryside!  One of Delaney's classmates and another family who are their good friends took us to Kazimierz and Naleczow.  We finally got to experience the roads that everyone complains about.  They were basic country roads - barely two lanes with a small dirt shoulder (which is a little challenging when a large tractor is approaching you), quite a few number of potholes.  Speed limit on average 70 kph (45 mph).  As long as your not in a hurry to get somewhere - its delightful driving!

The countryside was beautiful - everything in bloom and green.  The fields recently planted with crops starting to come up.  There is no real wilderness, although there are small forested areas.  All of  the open land is cultivated.  As our hosts explained, Poland is fairly densely populated.
